Biography

One day in October in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois, a baby boy was born at the early
morning hour of 1:30 am. While last call was being served in the neighborhood bars and
taverns, Lois and Harold were cradling their new born son that would be named Scotty.

Even though some would consider the young boy to have been born a city slicker,
Scotty would cut his teeth to great country artists like Johnny Cash, George Jones,
Tammy Wynette and many others. A good explanation for this would be that his
father, known to many as Buddy, was a musician who entertained in the local
clubs, doing large shows with greats such as Faron Young, David Houston,
Willie Nelson and others.
It wasn't long before Scotty learned how to
maneuver the Hi-Fi record player, located in the living room, and spin his
favorite records.

Then at the age of eleven, Scotty's mother suddenly passed away. This would
change the course of Scotty's life, sending him into a dark abyss of loneliness and
seclusion that would inspire much of his early music. After his mother's death, Scotty would
accompany Buddy to his performances, sometimes deep into the morning hours. Scotty would
often fall asleep to the sound of fiddles and steel guitar ringing through air thick with the
scent of cigarettes, cigars, beer, and whiskey.

When Scotty tuned sixteen, he began performing in nightclubs doing a solo act with
just an acoustic guitar. He would later take the advice of his father and build a three
piece band that would get him into bigger nightclubs which would enable him to
receive even more exposure.

In the late 80's, Scotty signed on as a guitar player with a Nashville act
touring through Canada and the northwest. That tour would eventually
drop him directly into the heart of country music, Nashville, Tennessee.
Since that time, Scotty has performed at many of Nashville's top venues
and performed to packed crowds in and around surrounding areas. With
his home based in Nashville, Scotty has found a direction in music that
he believes will lead him down a successful road, filled with good
music and great times.
